ExxonMobil has initiated plans to protect against COVID-19

May 7, 2020 | SeaFirst

During the unprecedented global outbreak of COVID-19, the health and safety of ExxonMobil’s employees, delivering agents, vessel operators and customers remains the company’s highest priority.

The company says it is working hard to ensure continuity of our operations and to make products available both safely and timely from refineries, terminals and through delivery operations.

The company understands that there are many concerns about the spread of COVID-19 and it is imperative that everybody takes action to contain it. ‘Social distancing’ is proven to be one of the most effective measures for preventing the spread of COVID-19. As a result, ExxonMobil’s barge crews have been instructed to avoid close contact between themselves, the crews of receiving vessels and surveyors or agents.

Appropriate safety measures will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and will be mutually agreed by the delivery party and the crew of the receiving vessel.

ExxonMobil thanks you for your support and collaboration in helping to find ways to maintain the health and safety of all involved. For more information, please click here.
