Subsea Global Solutions remains busy

“Our workload in the commercial shipping segment has remained very busy with several owner / operators requiring maintenance on their vessels,” says Rick Shilling, COO for Subsea Global Solutions.  “With the distress in the oil and gas market, and large tankers and other vessels being converted to floating storage, SGS has seen an up turn in maintenance services to these vessels while they remain idle, loaded and collecting growth.”

However, it is not all good news as he explains; ” As the cruise market remains idle and focused on retaining cash, repairs are limited to emergencies only.  The vessels continue to maintain their required inspections as per class, but maintenance has been on an as needed / as required basis only.  We remain prepared and ready to support the fleets as they reactivate in the coming months.”
